I was very interested in the idea of placing the stuff toys from the gift shop by the dog statue. That definitely would get across the excited and fun aspect of the dog. However, I wonder if placing the stuff toys next to the statue would reduce the work by turning the artwork into simply just decoration. Although, maybe this statue's purpose was to be more commerical, in which that case it would work great with stuffed toys all around it. I hope that made sense...mandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13990222875776967576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-294502172016418384.post-68847553385892139042009-09-21T22:15:02.515-07:002009-09-21T22:15:02.515-07:00That was ambitious Adam, and you did exactly like ...That was ambitious Adam, and you did exactly like you wanted to. Great description of size and scale, along with the comparison from playful toy like images, to nudity, despair, down the the carcass. The end of art / the death of art - which is declared often, but never so literally, which made me smile.

Eventually - places to progress to is working out scale in words and comparison - less into numbers. Expand on colors, content, (which you actually did very well. Also content wise, why is the erotic element on the way down the decent? Are you implying it is bad, or just bringing us closer to our carnal nature?
you could really expand this further.
I like the combination of images, and it seems like you are responding to the form and technique delivered by the medium, but implied some darker meanings in some of the earlier works. Content wise, they almost have an equal playing field.
What do you think?

great work AdamAbbihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02095219224817704271noreply@blogger.com
